After the rustic supper on Saturday you’ll take a short walk to the village Laubach, from where you walk with torches to the piled up Easter fire. You’ll ignite thin then with your torches. Be present when the Easter fire is blazing fiercely.

This rite dates back to ancient times and was ment to disperse, to „burn“ winter. Supposedly it was believed likely that the glow of the fire had a cleansing effect and the sprouting seed would protect from evil spirits and so they were used as cult to secure the fertility, growth and harvest, where the ashes were spread on the fields.
