FLUX RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE
We really mean it when we say that we’re close to everything because FLUX is situated right in the centre of Germany. That makes us not only a fantastic location for people to meet but also the ideal spot for people travelling from north to south or east to west. And of course, the other way around. Not only do we have a central location but we’re also easy to reach – and yet with a rural feeling. FLUX is only a few minutes from the A7 autobahn. Göttingen, of Brothers Grimm fame, and Kassel, the home of documenta, are just a short trip away and Hanover Airport is only a 90-minute drive. Even if it took longer to get to FLUX, it would be worth it – but isn’t it nice to know that it’s an easy trip.

FLUX is now a second-generation family-run hotel. We can happily look back at 45 years of successful hotelier experience and know that without this, our high standards and professional service would not be possible. But what we enjoy even more is looking at the present and the future: together with our dynamic team we are always moving forwards. We do this for us, for our guests and, as one of the leading eco hotels in Germany, for the environment. A wide range of different room types is important for “normal” hotel business but even more so for events, meetings and seminars. FLUX offers rooms of differing sizes, a pretty fairy-tale terrace and a large sun terrace, various meeting and seminar rooms, and of course the main hotel and the separate guest house with a variety of room categories: thanks to this diversity of rooms we can fulfil the wishes of individual guests, groups or a complete hotel booking.
Our organic restaurant
NATURAL, SIMPLE, HONEST
Genuine, natural, simple and honest – the best characteristics for our ambitious cuisine. Certified, monitored and guaranteed organic at the highest standard. As a certified organic restaurant, we only use ingredients from organic farms, orchards and plantations – free from genetic modification and any chemical additives. Back in the 90s, we started focusing on organic food, seasonal ingredients and fair-trade products. Today, our products are sourced primarily from suppliers that are certified by Demeter or Bioland, preferably regional suppliers who we’ve been working with for years in a close, trusting relationship. Nowadays, it’s not only locals who rave about our food – we’re also recommended in the Varta Guide and have been awarded Bib Gourmand status in the Michelin Guide.

Our core values at FLUX are honesty, appreciation and respect. In order to live these values every day, our entire hotel and restaurant are eco-friendly and organic. Certified, monitored and guaranteed. It’s not always easy, but it’s always a lot of fun. Best of all: our guests appreciate the effort we make. They can feel the spirit and energy that comes from this responsibility and they enjoy being part of the special atmosphere at FLUX.
No CO2
Annual, independent inspections, measurement of current consumption of electricity, water, meat consumption, laundry, kilometres driven, employees, gas, regionality, zero air-freight – everything is monitored and assessed. The aim is to reduce CO2 emissions every year by 2.5%.
Clean Clean
Cleaning products and laundry detergents can’t be avoided. But wherever possible, ours are sourced from recognised producers of ecological products such as Ecover and Sodasan.
Conserving water, one of our most precious life-giving resources, is a given for us. By the way, our eco-friendly climate system uses clay walls cooled with water from our very own well.

People are what makes this place great. Our guests can feel this in everything we do. Our team shares our ideals and our goals; they love it here at FLUX. And that’s how it should be.

FLUX only uses electricity that is produced from renewable energy sources.
Organic & Local
We use 100% organic products, primarily certified by Bioland and Demeter, mainly from the local region.

Only certified all-natural cosmetics are used here at FLUX including the Speick Thermal range of organic cosmetics.

AFTERNOON CAKE TIME
We really mean it – our cakes are all homemade. Baked by grandma following great-grandma’s recipes. Our guests love our cakes and so do we! We don’t offer a huge range and they don’t have that perfect factory shape, but wow do they taste good!

WE LOVE WINE
Wine is something that we really take to heart. We believe that really good cuisine and a really good wine cellar belong together. And we have a lot of fun choosing and recommending great wines. The result is a wine selection that’s a joy to read and even better to taste.
